MISSION
STATEMENT
The main goal of IPDTA is
to establish contact with police / law enforcement & military organizations
and/or individual police / law enforcement & military officers interested in
exchanging and developing the ideas/methods about realistic unarmed and armed
combat, arresting and defensive tactics for officers.
IPDTA does not
represent any federal, state, county or local law enforcement agency or any
branch of the Armed Forces of any country.
IPDTA is a non profit
organization. Fees are used for materials, shipping, postage, patches, labels,
advertisement, promotions, training documents etc...
IPDTA also provides
other groups of professionals and civilians with the information about the
realism of conflict management
HISTORY
IPDTA was created to be a meeting center for
officers interested in exchanging the ideas and developing effective
unarmed/armed tactics for patrolling police/law enforcement officers.
Over
and above their regular duties both as a patrol and training officer, IPDTA
instructors traveled throughout Europe since 1995 to teach self defense. All the
while searching for more effective self defense and arresting tactics for patrol
officers.
FOUNDER
IPDTA was founded in 1996 by Slavo Gozdzik,
police officer in the Swedish Police Force.
He has worked as a patrol officer
since 1989. Slavo works at Detective Squad since 2005. He was for many years
responsible for the defensive/arrest tactics and expandable baton training in
Uddevalla PD. Also involved in Door Supervisor Training.
Earlier occupations:
5 years as a bouncer (Sweden and Poland), 3 years at correctional institutes for
young criminals (Sweden) and 3 years as a teacher of gymnastics.
